Noah’s Wish is hosting an online charity auction featuring pet food bowls that have been colored and signed by celebrities.

Musician Ziggy Marley, actress and animal advocate Tippi Hedren, actress Virginia Madson, actress, singer Blu Cantrell, and famous Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan are among the celebrities donating their artistic vision and time to help raise funds to save pets in disasters. Additionally several celebrities from the paranormal sect have contributed as well, including: The Celebrities Psychic Nancy Bradley, the famous medium and host of Investigating the Unknown with Gold Rush Ghosts Paranormal Investigations, The Nancy Bradley Psychic Hour, and a regular on Good Day Sacramento, Channel #31 KMAX, and on the Travel Channel’s Haunted Hotel Series. Joining her are the host of Haunting Evidence Patrick Burns, and famous medium and host of Dead Famous, Chris Fleming. Some of the celebrities, including Bradley, are donating autographed photographs and/or other items that will be part of their bowl prize package. Bradley is offering a free Reading.

“We are very excited to have so many celebrities join us in this fun project that will help us in our mission to rescue animals left behind in disasters,” said Amy Maher, Board Chair of Noah’s Wish. “Sadly, disasters can and do happen at any time - and the funds raised by this auction will go directly to help us help animals in crisis.” 2008 is proving to be a busy disaster year and Noah’s Wish needs your support to assure that we are prepared to help those that are unable to help themselves when a disaster strikes.

The link to the auction will be accessible via www.noahswish.info. The auction starts today, July 15th and ends on July 25th. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Noah’s Wish is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 whose singular mission is to save animals during disasters with their rescue and recovery services and to mitigate the impact of disasters on animals through its educational outreach programs.

“And that is what concerns me: The New Yorker cover is not so much offensive as it is dangerous, precisely because of the prevalence of negative stereotypes of Muslims (not to mention the resurrection of the ghost of black militancy), stereotypes now further cemented in much of America. As the progressive Huffington Post blog said: “Anyone who’s tried to paint Obama as a Muslim, anyone who’s tried to portray Michelle as angry or a secret revolutionary out to get Whitey, anyone who has questioned their patriotism — well, here’s your image.” —

If you click on this link try to ignore the Blockbuster ad. Those DVD titles… man! They’ll come flying at your head. Long ways to go here, Blockbuster.  The current online ad strategy ain’t working. A reader emails to tell me that some of you may not be lucky enough to encounter this ad… it appears to be of the rotating variety.

Loren Feldman gets a visit from the karma police

As you may have heard, Loren Feldman has been dropped by Verizon due to the action taken by the courageous Corvida Raven. She decided to speak out about Feldman’s Tech Nigga video and I’m sure glad she did.

Loren and I, we go way back. He started off as just some weird troll that made shirtless videos. One was all about me. I don’t remember the specifics of the video, but I do remember being stunned by his sexism. However, he was just some troll, so I dismissed him. Then Robert Scoble started promoting him and pushing his content. I was shocked that someone who was so clearly a troll was being taken seriously by such a prominent figure in the blogosphere.

To use “comedy” as a defense or to call Feldman a “comedian” is in itself, a joke. If you aren’t a white male I guarantee you don’t get Loren’s “humor” (and as evidenced in the blogosphere, many white males find him offensive as well). Why? Because he is a sexist and a racist. I’ve been one of his victims and I have to say I’m enjoying this sweet, sweet karma.

I think it’s pretty interesting that most (all?) of the pro-Feldman coverage in the blogosphere has been written by white males. That speaks volumes.

Interestingly, it was a race issue that brought Feldman all of this attention… but he managed to fly under the radar as a blatant sexist.

Anyway, thank you to Hank Williams for inspiring me to speak out. I only wish I had done so sooner.

I've been busy farming, ok?

I’ve been blogging lite this week… not that I usually blog “heavy” .. but for the last few days I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with my parents in rural Connecticut (NOT Fairfield county, puke) cavorting around their farm and visiting with my dad’s horse, Puppy (dumb name— he didn’t name her). I have been doing some work though… I’m mid-production on a video about a Trucker Museum which we shot entirely with an N95 cell phone.. ha! We’ll see how it turns out… Mario’s a magician so anything is possible.

I feel like I found the right fit with Sometimesdaily and I’m just so… relieved. Yes, that’s the best way to describe it. Of course we are still working out the kinks while we’re in beta this summer— and I’m sure we’ll continuously be adjusting—  but the gears are all spinning in the right direction.

Big news to come including an appearance later this month on one of the late night talk shows… second guest after freaking Will Ferrell?!? Booyakasha! More deets soon. What’s funny is that I don’t even have a publicist. These people just email me directly. From day one Ari (my agent) was like.. ummm.. I think you handle your own publicity perfectly well (that’s certainly open to debate).

You guys keep me going. Some people say that and it’s bullshit but I mean it. In fact I think I probably care a little too much about what you think. :/ Well, not all of you. I don’t give a rat’s ass what those of you who talk about my boobs think but those fart knockers (Beavis & Butthead, anyone?) are probably not the ones reading my personal blog anyway. Ugh, someone just facebook messaged me to let me know I’m on some Playboy list of bloggers you want to see naked. Please know that I did not consent to being objectified this way, so don’t vote for me.

A few links I keep forgetting to send you to.. some of these are a few weeks old— aka ancient.

Ok! Off to bed… and then tomorrow back to LA in eager anticipation of my new iPhone… :). Sometimesdaily will bring you live coverage from the inevitable line… just like last year, except, ummm… live! Oh, remind me to get new sunglasses. Looking back at that video, my go-to pair are over a year old and that’s pretty much a sin in California.

“Patients are often forced to sleep in plastic chairs or on floors covered in urine, feces and blood while waiting for beds, the groups allege, and often go without basic hygiene such as showers, clean linens and clean clothes. The lawsuit claims that patients who complain face physical abuse and are injected with drugs to keep them docile. The hospital, the suit alleges, lacks “the minimal requirements of basic cleanliness, space, privacy, and personal hygiene that are constitutionally guaranteed even to convicted felons.” —
