Listening to long voicemail intros can take a lot of patience— especially if you hear the message all the time and don’t need the info. If you know the person your calling’s carrier, these codes will fast-forward you to the beep.

Happy’s Father’s Day, Dad! You and the rest of the fam are on a cruise celebrating Andrew’s graduation, so I can’t call you and with this message. So I leave it here.
My dad has been in nine broadway plays in principal roles, such as the original 42nd Street, as well as lots of movies and tv shows. Aside from that, he’s a great dad— the best. He is kind, patient, loving and he just always goes above and beyond. I’ve learned not many people in life do that.
Again, happy Father’s Day, Dad! I’m so glad I have you in my life.

NBC's Tim Russert dead at 58 -

brooklet14:

I am so sad about this. It is great to see how many people on tumblr recognize how amazing and important Tim Russert was. Sunday mornings were my Meet the Press time, religiously.

election08:

Tim Russert died today at the age of 58. He apparently had a sudden heart attack while at work. Russert was the NBC News Washington bureau chief and moderator of ‘Meet the Press’.

He is survived by his wife Maureen Orth and a son Luke. Our thoughts go out to his family.

RIP, Tim. Meet the Press is my Sunday morning addiction. What a talented man. So sorry to read about his sudden, untimely passing.

I am devastated. He was probably the best journalist on television, and now he’s gone.

“My sensory organs are a little closer to my center of gravity, and my heart has a little less distance to pump to my brain,” he said. “I’ve been waiting my whole life, and I think finally this being short is going to come in handy for once.” —

No Problems Seen for Shuttle Landing - NYTimes.com

What other advantages does being short provide? Hmmm.. being able to order off the kids menu longer than your friends? Not having to bend down as far to tie your shoelaces? Gymnastic abilities? I never understood why short people get so much flack… height ain’t nothing but a number, just like age.

“The EPA does not regulate indoor air, period,” said Barbara Spark, the indoor air program coordinator for the EPA’s Pacific Southwest region. “We have not been given that authority by the Congress.” —

That ‘new shower curtain smell’ gives off toxic chemicals, study finds - Los Angeles Times

Wonder what the long-term health hazards are. Man, I have inhaled many a new shower curtain. Dangerous food (tomatoes, spinach), bad plastics… we’ve got to take a long hard look at these things.

“Citing what it said are shortcomings in the federation’s accord, SAG’s national executive committee - which includes the top officers of the union - narrowly voted approval last week to spend more than $100,000 in an effort to persuade 44,000 dual members to vote down the agreement.” —

More pleasantness! I’m one of the 44,000 dual members and I’ll tell you what I want: these unions to shut the f- up before they tarnish their already soiled names. A campaign against AFTRA are you kidding me, SAG? There’s no place for unions on the internet. Remember that!!!!!
