Thanks to my mom for writing a negative yelp review for ThePartyRide aka A-1 Quality Limousine aka “the buses from hell”. My wedding was picture perfect… beautiful weather (even though the forecast said rain!), amazing guests, glorious scenery, great food, fun dancing… BUT The Party Ride was a horrible disaster. There is always one in every wedding I guess. Hopefully my mother and my posts on the web will help to spread the word about their appalling “business”. Since they would never return our request to discuss their abysmal service, turning to the internet and contacting the New York Better Business Bureau were our only recourse. Hopefully the karma of google will get them… google’s great like that. GO GET ‘EM GOOGLE! Do you have any wedding horror stories to share?

Part of my job at Sometimesdaily is to gather assets for our videos from internetarchive.org. That website is quite possibly my favorite place on the web. Some people say it’s tough to search for things on there… but I find searching by “average rating” helps a lot. From it’s description on internet archive this video is “an amazing short by an ‘orchestra’ of vibraphone players. Some viewers have noted that this film seems to be a mirror image of how things are supposed to be. This is because original Soundie films were printed backwards so that they could appear correct when played in the Panoram machine (an early film jukebox).”
